These are some commissioned works that I've done over the years.

My husband and I had the good fortune to live in Ireland for almost a year. To say we loved it, the beauty of the country and the charm of the people, would be an understatement. We set up a small studio in our apartment, and I painted almost daily. When weather permitted, I painted en plein air, either in the town or in the nearby countryside. It was an amazing experience for me.

At this time, I've made 2 painting trips to France and each was in a totally different area. The first trip was in the south of France and the Provence region and the second was in the French Alps. Both were amazing yet totally different. At this time, most of these paintings were from the French Alps. I'll continue to add more, though.

I'm fascinated with the life, light and color captured in the streets around us. I love the challenge of trying to reproduce my impression of what's before me.

I'm an incorrigible gardener and some of my favorite flowers are roses. I love the variety of colors, petal shapes and fragrances. I called this painting "First Roses" because those were the first blooms of the season. Living in Houston with its profound heat, the most beautiful blooms are the first ones in the early spring and the last ones in the late fall. I'm always ready to take up the challenge of painting them!
